Singer Kelly Khumalo has allegedly created romance rumours with controversial kwaito star Arthur Mafokate after sharing what appears to be an intimate photo on Instagram.

The pair, both no strangers to making headlines, are said to have set social media on fire with speculation after Khumalo posted what some claim to be a cosy picture of them together.

In what could be seen as either a hint at romance or a clever marketing move, Khumalo allegedly captioned the photo with “Isazozalwa letsotsi ezozhlukanisa” which reportedly means “the man who will come between us is yet to be born”, Bona Magazine reported.

Sources say the timing of this supposed relationship has raised eyebrows, with many suggesting it could be a publicity stunt for upcoming music projects.

Both artists are known for making headlines – Mafokate for his alleged involvement in a gender-based violence case with former partner singer Busisiwe “Cici” Thwala, while Khumalo has reportedly faced public scrutiny over her past relationships with entertainment industry figures.

Goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa was dating Kelly Khumalo when he was killed in her mother’s house in 2014. The trial for this case is still ongoing.

Social media users are said to be divided, with some allegedly warning Mafokate to “tread carefully” given Khumalo’s controversial past relationships, while others claim they might be a perfect match for each other.

Neither Khumalo nor Mafokate has officially confirmed or denied the dating rumours, leaving fans to speculate about what many say could be either a developing romance or a clever marketing strategy.
