Brown Mogotsi walks away after car hit with bullets in Vosloorus

Businessman Brown Mogotsi survived a shooting in Vosloorus extension 25 after his car was sprayed with bullets on Monday night.
Police confirmed that Mogotsi was inside the vehicle when the shooting happened. Despite more than eight bullet holes in the car, he was not injured.
A police officer in Vosloorus said Mogotsi had not yet opened a case but was expected to go to the police station with his lawyer today.
Police spokesperson Brigadier Athlenda Mathe said officers were sent to Vosloorus to confirm reports involving Mogotsi.
The Madlanga Commission of Inquiry confirmed that a shooting took place but said the South African Police Service had not provided any details. Spokesperson Jeremy Michaels said the matter was still under review.
Mogotsi, a businessman from the North West, has been named in investigations into alleged corruption, interference in police work and political funding. He has denied all wrongdoing.
Residents said they heard gunfire during the night and later saw the vehicle full of bullet holes. Police have not released information about suspects or the motive for the attack.
Investigators are treating the case as a serious attempt on Mogotsi’s life.
