Dad to face son in FA Cup clash
- Everton’s Ashley Young will play against his 18-year-old son Tyler in a historic FA Cup match.
- The father-son match is one of many exciting games drawn for England’s oldest football cup competition.
A special football match is coming up in England as Ashley Young prepares to play against his teenage son Tyler in the FA Cup.
The 38-year-old Everton player couldn’t hide his joy when he learned he would face his son’s team, Peterborough United, in January.
Young senior hopes to see his 18-year-old boy in the starting team when the match kicks off.
The FA Cup, England’s oldest football competition, has drawn up some other big matches too. Cup holders Manchester United will travel to Arsenal, while Manchester City will host Salford City.
League leaders Liverpool will play against Accrington Stanley, while small-town team Tamworth get a chance to host one of England’s biggest clubs, Tottenham Hotspur.
Chelsea will play against struggling Morecambe, who are at the bottom of League Two.
All matches will be played around Saturday, 11 January 2025.
