Gospel star aims to pack Moses Mabhida Stadium

  • Ayanda Ntanzi aims to become the first gospel artist to fill Moses Mabhida Stadium on 12 July, after his successful Durban ICC show.
  • Only maskandi star Khuzani Mpungose has managed to fill the stadium before, while Pastor Andile kaMajola’s previous attempt failed.

South African gospel star Ayanda Ntanzi, who once caused controversy by flying over fans to enter the stage, is now set to break records by filling up the giant Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.

Ayanda’s tickets went on sale on Computicket at midnight on Tuesday to celebrate his birthday.

Royal Priest PR Company announced that the “Fill Up Moses Mabhida” event will take place on 12 July this year.

Sane Mbambo of Royal Priest PR Company said they are delighted to announce that Ntanzi is taking his one-man show to Moses Mabhida after his successful show at the Durban ICC last year.

“With more than 6,000 people in attendance, he hosted the biggest gospel concert in Africa in 2024, which was held at the Durban ICC. This year he will be taking the bar to the next level as the first solo gospel artist to fill up the Moses Mabhida stadium while recording a live album,” said Mbambo.

So far, only maskandi artist Khuzani Mpungose has managed to fill up Moses Mabhida Stadium.

Pastor Andile kaMajola once tried but failed, reportedly ending up in hospital due to depression.

Last year, Ayanda managed to fill the Durban ICC with over 6,000 fans.

The concert stirred controversy when some churchgoers disapproved of his creative entrance, flying over fans on a rope to land on stage.

Some complained it was demonic and against the word of God, while younger fans were thrilled as he landed on stage while singing.

Mbambo said that due to demand, the event is moving from Durban ICC to Moses Mabhida Stadium, where thousands of gospel music fans will attend from across the country and beyond borders.

“Should you wish to purchase hospitality suit packages, please contact the below number and not Webtickets. For enquiries, please contact 066 239 0803,” said Mbambo.
