‘King Misuzulu’s third wife ruins monarchy’ – Bishop Nala

Controversial KwaZulu-Natal Bishop Hamilton Nala, who once claimed to have cured HIV, has joined the royal rebels seeking to dethrone King Misuzulu kaZwelithini.

Nala of the Nala Mandate of Plenty International Church in Durban accused King Misuzulu of using drugs and disrespecting the Zulu monarchy by paying lobola for a woman who has already had children with another man.

Nala made the claims on the TikTok page of Prince Nqokonqoko, a staunch supporter of Prince Simakade kaZwelithini, who has challenged King Misuzulu’s ascent to the throne in the Supreme Court of Appeal.

The complaints began after King Misuzulu paid 16 cattle to the family of his fiancee, Nomzamo Myeni, in Jozini on Sunday.

“King Misuzulu has put the Zulu [monarchy] into disrepute by paying lobola for a woman who already has a baby with another man,” said Nala.

“This is the highest insult to the throne. We have already had enough of his alcoholism and drug abuse. He needs to be recalled as soon as possible before he can do more damage than this,” said Nala.

King Misuzulu’s alleged drug and alcohol abuse are noted in papers before the Pietermaritzburg High Court, where Prince Mbonisi kaBhekuzulu wants to interdict His Majesty from appointing the board of the Ingonyama Trust and his traditional prime minister.

The TikTok page has shown potentially damaging footage of the King, where he appears to be under the influence.

Traditional Prime Minister Reverend Thulasizwe Buthelezi responded to Nala by saying: “We can’t go around responding to people we don’t even know.

“We might find ourselves entertaining those who are mentally disturbed and who still regard themselves as normal people because they wear expensive white suits.”
