Lady Zamar tells fans she is her own manager now

  • Lady Zamar has denied claims that she is working with Golden Child Records or its boss, Mthokozisi Ngwenya.
  • Her team says anyone claiming to represent her must have written proof, or they are not to be trusted.

South African singer Lady Zamar has taken full control of her music career and wants everyone to know it.

In a statement on Thursday, her team said she is managing herself and making all her own professional decisions.

“There is no one else representing Lady Zamar,” the statement said.

She warned fans and the music industry not to trust anyone who says they speak for her without proof, Sunday World reported.

Lady Zamar, whose real name is Yamikani Janet Banda, shot to fame with songs like “Love Is Blind” and “Collide”. But in recent months, there have been stories linking her to a company called Golden Child Records and its boss, Mthokozisi Ngwenya.

Her team has now made it clear: those stories are not true.

They said anyone trying to act on her behalf must have a signed agreement or verified role. Otherwise, they should not be believed.

“No one outside of those structures should be considered part of her team,” said her management. “Only people who contact you through official channels should be trusted.”

They added that past links with Golden Child Records may have caused some confusion but called current rumours “untrue and misleading”.

All bookings, interviews and other business must now go through her official email: [email protected].

The team also urged the public to reach out to Nicole Thomas from Virgin Music Group or Gareth Wilson from IBE Music for any official matters.
