Congratulations and best wishes poured in for Mike Maile who tied the knot with his long-term sweetheart Nokubongwa Mdlalose on the weekend in Vryheid northern KwaZulu-Natal.

Mike Maile is the brother of MEC of Human Settlement in Gauteng, Lebogang Maile, and a close friend of Deputy President Paul Mashatile.

The Maile brothers are also known to be part of the ‘Alex Mafias’ and former activists from Alexandra.

Not surprisingly, Vice President Paul Mashatile attended the glamorous wedding with many other heavyweight politicians like Bandile Masuku, Ouma Tema, and Maile’s spokesperson Lupi Ngcayisa.

Nokubongwa Mdlalose is Maile’s second wife.

Sources close to the family told Scrolla.Africa the couple has been seeing each other for years.

“Maile’s first wife Daisy has given them her blessings,” said an ANC member who attended the wedding and spoke to Scrolla.Africa anonymously.

“It took time for Daisy to accept and give her blessings to her husband, but she finally did that last year.”

Nokubongwa worked for various departments in Gauteng and met and had a baby with David Masondo while she worked in the Limpopo Department of Health in about 2012.

David Masondo is the current Deputy Minister of Finance.

Nokubongwa wrote on her Facebook page thanking guests for their presence on her special day: “To say we are honoured and appreciative is an understatement. Nisenza abantu, sibonga asiphezi. Nibusiseke Nganezakithi. Anginawo Amazwi.”

Fashion Entrepreneur Ouma Tema wrote on her Facebook: “What a beautiful hearted and most genuine weekend this was. Always lovely to see love come full circle. Congratulations to Nokubongwa Mdlalose and Bra Mike Maile. . .. you two don’t care about my liver. I am out there nursing babalaz of big proportion.”

Another ANC politician Loyiso Lugayeni-Masuku wrote on her Facebook timeline: “The bone of my bone, flesh of my flesh, this guy gets me.”
