Singing sensation Tyla released her much-anticipated, self-titled debut album today.

The 14-track album is already being celebrated by fans on various social platforms, who are confident of its success.

“Literally can’t stop listening. It’s been on repeat since midnight,@Tyllaaaaaaa oh mama, you will always be famous,” said one fan on X.

Other fans commented “Tyla is definitely here to stay” and “Tyla eating this album UPPPP! Water” was just a warm-up. She’s really taking it.”

The track Water released in July 2023 by the 22-year-old artist quickly became a hit.

It went viral on TikTok with its catchy dance, leading to high rankings in music charts across the UK, US, and New Zealand.

Tyla’s hard work over five years in South Africa paid off when Water won at the 2024 Grammys in the Best African Music Performance category.

She told NME she felt success was on the way and she was destined to achieve it.

In an interview with Nandi Madida on Africa Now Radio, Tyla said: “I discovered that I enjoyed mixing pop with African music. Since then I was kinda on a mission to find the perfect blend and just the sound where I feel 100% about it.”

The album’s tracklist includes collaborations with both local and international artists such as Gunna, Tems, Kelvin Momo, and Becky G.

It also includes a Travis Scott remix of Water.
