Former eThekwini Metro cop turned businessman Wiseman Sbu Mpisane says he is not broke after divorcing his millionaire ex-wife Shauwn “MaMkhize” Mkhize.

“I have survived from the inception of the divorce, and I still do. The final divorce settlement was in line with the constitution and laws of the country,” Mpisane told Sunday World.

He hinted that MaMkhize caused their marriage to fail.

“However, our divorce papers were clear that our marriage was irreparable, based on the reasons known to her since she was the author of the divorce,” he said.

The couple split in 2018 but only finalised their divorce last week at the Durban High Court.

“It is ordered that the bonds of marriage subsisting between the plaintiff and defendant be and are hereby dissolved,” the court ruled.

The judge ordered them to choose someone they both trusted to split their wealth equally. Each must pay their own debts.

Mpisane worked as an eThekwini metro police officer before helping run Zikhulise with MaMkhize. The company made millions from government contracts.

Meanwhile, tax officials and police recently raided MaMkhize’s Durban mansion. SARS said they were looking for evidence of tax dodging and crime.
