Woman sues Lerato Kganyago’s husband for R10-million over assault

  • Gift Kamogelo Modisha says a caretaker broke her hand and beat her head until it bled at a property owned by Thami Ndlala’s company.
  • She spent five days in hospital and is now suing Ndlala and his company for R10-million in damages, including medical costs and lost income.

Thami Ndlala, the husband of Metro FM presenter Lerato Kganyago, is being sued for R10-million after a young woman was attacked at one of his properties.

The woman, 20-year-old Gift Kamogelo Modisha, says she was swimming with friends at a housing complex owned by Ndlala’s company, Ndlalayesizwe Real Estate, when a caretaker became violent.

She told the Pretoria High Court that the man hit her with a wooden stick after she got out of the pool, Sunday World reported.

Her hand was broken, and she says the caretaker then kicked her while she was on the ground and beat her on the head, leaving her bleeding heavily.

Modisha was rushed to hospital and stayed for five days. She needed stitches for a deep wound on her head and now has a large scar.

She says she has been left disabled and emotionally traumatised. Her doctors told her she won’t fully recover. She now suffers from anxiety and post-traumatic stress.

Modisha says Ndlala and his company failed to protect people on the property and are responsible for the caretaker’s actions.

She is asking for R10-million to cover medical costs, lost income, pain, suffering, and emotional trauma.

Ndlala and his company have 30 days to respond to the lawsuit.
